Bloomberg’s Gender Equality Index: Terna confirmed for the fourth consecutive year

0 6

Terna was included in the Gender Equality Index (GEI) for the fourth year in a row: this is on account of the results of Bloomberg’s international index, which measures corporate performance in equal pay and the quality and transparency of public reporting. In this context, Terna is one of the only 20 Italian companies – among 418 international enterprises operating in 45 countries and in 11 different market sectors – to be included in the index.
The Group led by CEO and General Manager Stefano Donnarumma improved its performance thanks to excellent results in the areas of “Equal Pay & Gender Pay Parity”, “Inclusive Culture” and “Disclosure”. In this latter area, the company achieved the highest possible score of 100/100, which highlights its commitment to transparency and the quality of its reporting. These are two essential features of the Group’s ESG policies, allowing Terna to achieve a result higher than the overall average of the companies in the GEI index, as well as the average of the companies in the Utilities category.
As for the theme of sustainability, the Group’s thorough commitment is recognised by several international project and many global rankings in which Terna is included. In addition to being recognised by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) – an international organization that helps companies disclose their environmental impact – the company led by Stefano Donnarumma is indeed included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, FTSE4Good, Euronext Vigeo Eiris, ECPI, MIB 40 ESG, MSCI, GLIO/GRESB ESG Index, and Stoxx Global ESG Leaders.
