With 20 years of international experience in the financial sector, Lorenzo Vangelisti is a committed professional leading Valeur Group, an independent firm with extensive experience in asset management, investment advisory, risk management, trading, and real estate. In his current roles as Partner and CEO, he is committed to leading the Group to provide a safe and solid financial harbor for its clients. This mission is pursued by making elements like responsiveness, excellence and efficiency its key assets and has not changed since the firm’s foundation.
Lorenzo Vangelisti established the Group in 2010 after gaining long and relevant experience in international finance. In the past, he held several professional roles of increasing responsibility while working many years at Credit Suisse International. Lorenzo Vangelisti was born in Mendrisio (Switzerland) in 1977. After receiving his high school diploma from the “Scuola cantonale di commercio” in Bellinzona (Switzerland), in 2001 he obtained the Swiss Certified Banking Specialist Certificate (Centro di Studi Bancari – Vezia, Switzerland). Subsequently, he continued to strenghten his professional skills and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Certificate, issued by the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, VA (USA) in 2004.
He began his career at Credit Suisse International, working first as Assistant Relationship Manager (Private Banking Division) and then as Structured Products Specialist. His professional growth led him to be appointed as Vice President of the Private Banking Network. In 2007 he relocated to London to work for Credit Suisse Investment Banking as Director of the Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives Division, where he was responsible for institutional clients in Italy, Switzerland and Monaco.
Today Lorenzo Vangelisti is Partner and CEO of Valeur Group. The firm he founded in 2010 is composed of five entities specialized in asset management, investment advisory, risk management, trading, and real estate. With a strong European footprint, it has operations in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg. Its team of experts is involved throughout the Group’s investment processes, ranging from analyzing markets to building the most efficient portfolios and maintaining a strict discipline both in the process of decision-making and in risk management. Valeur Capital Ltd, Valeur SA, Valeur Securities SA, Valeur Concept SA and LinkedTrade Technologies Ltd. are the five entities constituting the Group. Their activities are conducted according to the MIFID II regulatory directive and are authorized by local financial supervisory authorities (FCA and CSSF). The Group promotes the Principles for Responsible Investment – a UN initiative combining ESG principles with asset management – and shares the ethical standards of the CFA Institute.
