Dice, a ticketing platform that prioritizes fan experience in its business model, has been recognized as one of the most innovative companies in the events and live experiences sector globally. The UK-based company secured the 3rd position in the “Events and Live Experiences” category in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies 2024 list.
Fast Company commended Dice for its holistic approach, which revolutionized ticketing and event discovery processes while providing valuable metrics for artists. Additionally, Dice created a social networking platform for fans. According to Ntsako Mokwena, Head of CRM, one of the reasons people don’t attend live events, besides ticket prices, is the lack of companionship. To address this, Dice introduced the “Groups” feature in 2023, enabling people to connect and purchase tickets together within the app.
Group members can vote on events they want to attend, enhancing Dice’s discovery function, which already assists users with personalized recommendations and drives over 40% of its sales. In August, Dice announced a $65 million funding round, slated for expansion in the US and Europe. The company serves millions of fans, 55,000 artists, and over 10,000 venues.
