With the favorable opinion of the Board of Statutory Auditors, the Boards of Directors appointed Vittorio Massone Director and Vice President of Alkemy S.p.A, a leading company in the business model evolution of large and medium-sized companies. The expert in digital transformation and management, who is as well dedicated to helping “digital native” companies to grow, was given also specific powers for Business and Corporate Development.
Vittorio Massone’s new professional challenge as Director and Vice President of Alkemy S.p.A.
Vittorio Massone received his appointment after Matteo de Brabant announced to resign from the office of Non-executive Director and Member of the Remuneration Committee. In his new role of Director and Vice President, Massone, who is a manager with a deep knowledge of business models transformation processes, will help Alkemy to achieve its objectives to support the business activities of the high-level clients the company works with. On the strength of his great experience in fields such as advisory, digital, and management, Vittorio Massone will provide a valuable contribution in addressing Alkemy’s new challenges, such as those deriving from the transition of the company to the STAR segment of Borsa Italiana’s Main Market. His appointment as new Director and Vice President is part of a new industrialization phase that is taking place in Alkemy, which recently announced the reorganization of the company’s structure, now organized in the business units of “consulting & performance”, “brand experience”, “tech” and “data & analytics”. Alkemy is listed on the Mercato Telematico Azionario (MTA) – STAR Segment of Borsa Italiana, and was previously on the AIM Italia (ticker: ALK).
The successful career of Vittorio Massone, between digital transformation and team “diversity”
Vittorio Massone graduated in Economics with full marks at the Sapienza University of Rome (1989), and obtained a Master in Business Administration at the Bocconi University of Milan (1992). After starting his career as a Business Analyst at Klopman Textile Industry (Burlington Group), he became an Associate at Value Partners, a management consultant firm. In 1994 he moved to Bain & Company, where he held the roles of Manager (1995), Partner (1999), and then Director (2004). As his positions grew in importance over time, he was involved in complex operations in the functional areas of strategy, organization, merger and acquisitions, customer experience, operational improvement, and procurement. During those years, he worked with top-level clients such as Walt Disney, Rai, Consip, Sviluppo Italia (currently Invitalia), Coni Servizi, Gruppo Espresso, and Il Sole 24 Ore. Among his most important operations: the acquisition of Virgilio/Matrix (1999), the turnaround of Seat Pagine Gialle (1997-2001), and the turnaround of Poste Italiane (2002-2008). In 2010 he moved to Johannesburg and joined Bain & Company Africa, where he held the position of Managing Partner until 2018, and helped the company to achieve market leadership. Vittorio Massone‘s innovative managerial vision is based on team “diversity”, a vision he brings to the projects he is currently dedicated to: supporting the digital transformation processes of important traditional companies, and helping “digital native” companies to grow and develop.
