Over its long-lasting activity, the firm supported the establishment of several global brands, thus becoming a key player in the reference area. By means of its wide regional know-how, Venia International provides crucial insights into markets and offers corporations local content to ensure that they are aware of and comply with the regulations in force where businesses are run. Sebastien Clamorgan‘s firm also provides lobbying services, such as consultancy in government relations, public policy, non-governmental and grassroots support organizations. Its big partnerships include the one built with Eat’n’go, a Nigerian group dedicated to bringing Food & Beverage brands to Africa, and the recent Slum2School initiative, which, in close collaboration with Eat’n’Go, allowed raising 50 million naira during 2019, in order to empower Nigerian children in remote communities with quality education. Sebastien Clamorgan and Venia International: the Badagry MegaPort and Free Zone in Nigeria
Among the initiatives related to the management of ports, one recent project is the Badagry MegaPort and Free Zone, which is aimed at developing a new, ultra-modern port and free zone in Nigeria: there the global consulting and investment firm led by Sebastien Clamorgan played the role of deal maker, broker and representative of a stakeholder’ interests. Located sixty kilometres from Lagos, the full-service port will be one of the largest in Africa. It is being developed through a partnership between private entities and overseen by the Nigerian Port Authorities. The ambition of the project is to partner with business leaders and the Nigerian Government to support a strong and sustainable growth in the area. The project is as well designed to allow companies to conduct business on a local level while taking advantage of worldwide expertise in the area. It is with this aim that many successful companies in Nigeria have been brought together in a consortium, in order to deliver a successful Greenfield port & Free Zone aimed at becoming a catalyst for growth of Nigeria. The role of Venia International as a deal maker, broker and representative of stakeholders’ interests was crucial within the project and showed, once again, the relevance of Sebastien Clamorgan‘s firm in the development of business activities in Africa and the Middle East.
