Alkemy S.p.A. announces Vittorio Massone’s new appointment as Director and Vice President

After Matteo de Brabant’s resignation from the office of Non-executive Director and Member of the Remuneration Committee due to further professional commitments, the expert in digital transformation Vittorio Massone received his new appointment as Director and Vice President by the Boards of Directors of Alkemy S.p.A, with the favorable opinion of the Board of Statutory Auditors.

An expert in management and digital transformation, Vittorio Massone has recently undertaken a new professional challenge of his career: on February 13, 2020, Alkemy S.p.A, a leading company in the business model evolution of large and medium-sized companies, co-opted him as Director and Vice President of the company, giving him specific powers for Business and Corporate Development. His appointment is part of the new industrialization phase in place in the company, which recently reorganized its corporate structure into four business units: “consulting & performance”, “brand experience”, “tech”, and “data & analytics”. As new Director and Vice President of the company, Vittorio Massone will support Alkemy in achieving new goals and targets, and in carrying out the company’s activities in the design of business evolution through data, technology and creativity. On the strength of his knowledge of business models transformation processes, he will as well support the whole team in facing the new challenges deriving from the recent transition of the company to the STAR segment of Borsa Italiana’s Main Market: in fact, previously on the AIM Italia (ticker: ALK), Alkemy is currently listed on the Mercato Telematico Azionario (MTA) – STAR Segment of Borsa Italiana.

Vittorio Massone, a key figure in advisory and digital transformation

With an innovative managerial vision based on team “diversity”, Vittorio Massone is currently dedicated to facilitating the growth and development of “digital native” companies, as well as to supporting the digital transformation processes of important traditional companies. After graduating in Economics with full marks at the Sapienza University (Rome, 1989), he obtained a Master in Business Administration at the Bocconi University (Milan, 1992). He started his career in 1989 as a Business Analyst at Klopman Textile Industry (Burlington Group). Four years later he became an Associate at Value Partners, a management consulting firm. In 1994 he was appointed to positions of increasing responsibility at Bain & Company: Manager in 1995, Partner in 1999, and Director in 2004. He became a key figure in the advisory sector and took part to complex operations, thus gaining deep experience in strategy, organization, merger and acquisitions, customer experience, operational improvement, procurement. He worked with clients the likes of Walt Disney, Rai, Consip, Sviluppo Italia (currently Invitalia), Coni Servizi, Gruppo Espresso, and Il Sole 24 Ore. Vittorio Massone was involved in the turnaround of Seat Pagine Gialle (1997-2001), the acquisition of Virgilio/Matrix (1999), and the turnaround of Poste Italiane (2002-2008). In 2010 he moved to Johannesburg, joining Bain & Company Africa as a Managing Partner until 2018. There he brought the team up to 200 members and opened a new office in Nigeria. He was also Member of the Board, and then President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, as well as Member of the Council of the Business Leadership South Africa.
