Carried out from December 2018 to December 2019, the Slum2School initiative allowed to raise 50 million naira to support Nigerian kids into school. The initiative was supported by the leading franchisee for Domino’s Pizza, Cold Stone Creamery, and Pinkberry Gourmet Frozen Yoghurt in Nigeria – Eat’n’go – which is part of a joint venture that involves Sebastien Clamorgan‘s Venia International as a shareholder.
Sebastien Clamorgan’s Venia International and Eat’n’go to collaborate with Slum2School
To support children into school and to cope with the shortcomings in the education sector in Nigeria: this is the common goal set by Slum2School, a project carried out by Eat’n’go during 2019 that made it possible to raise the sum of 50 million naira. With a two years old partnership, Eat’n’go and Slum2School’s objective is to impact educational development in Nigeria, by providing access to quality education and school needs, such as uniforms, textbooks, and psychosocial support. Slum2School is a Nigerian developmental organization which aims at empowering children in hard to reach communities, and tackling the rate of out-of-school kids in Nigeria. The organization collaborates with relevant partners such as the government, the private sector, individuals, civil society organizations, and other developmental agencies, in order to build networks for underserved children. Within this network, a crucial role was played by the food and beverage operator Eat’n’go, which includes the firm founded by Sebastien Clamorgan, Venia International, as a shareholder. Dedicated to bringing food and beverage brands to Africans, the group achieved market leadership and became the premier food operator in Africa, as well as the exclusive master franchisee for Domino’s Pizza, a $6 billion fast food giant, and Cold Stone Creamery, a $1.5 company in the ice cream business. This success was also achieved thanks to the support provided by the global consulting and investment firm Venia International, a reference point in the Middle East and North Africa region. The food and beverage group is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, and started operating in 2012. Since then, it opened more than one hundred stores across the Country.
